For Maths today:

Task 1: Bronze, Silver, Gold Platinum sheets. Remember that the Bronze is aimed at Year 4, Silver at Year 5 and Gold at Year 6 - the platinum is to really get you thinking!

Do what you can, but I'm not expecting everyone to do all the sheets.

Task 2: Today  we'll be carrying on looking at area and perimeter. Complete the worksheet in your maths book.

For English today:

Today we'll be writing the first part of the story. We will all use the same starting sentence and end sentence. Watch the video and use the worksheet to help.

Remember to keep your work neat and give it a title and date which need to be underlined.



Spelling Challenge:

Click on the spelling game

Click on the year 5/6 words

Choose 'Patterns'

Choose -cial words

Use the game to practise these spellings throughout the week.


French Challenge

In this lesson, we will learn how to use the negative form to say it isn't a certain pet.

I would like you to have a go at this at some stage this week. You can choose which day to do it on.

Music Challenge

In music this term we will be looking at Timbre and exploring different sounds using body percussion!

In this lesson, we will be developing our body percussion skills and reading music notation.

Art Challenge

In art this term we will be exploring photography.

In this lesson, we will be learning about two different types of light which we will investigate with our cameras in different ways. This lesson includes some physical activity and equipment beyond pen, paper or pencil. Please make sure your child is adequately supervised.

Computing Challenge

This lesson is an optional extra as you will need to access Google drawings or Microsoft publisher or powerpoint. The video uses Google drawings.

Vector Drawings

During this lesson learners will understand how digital images can be made from shapes or pixels. They will suggest and implement improvements to vector drawings and complete the unit by creating their own labels for the classroom using the skills they have learned.
